We think of fetishes as disgusting, as signs of abnormality – shunned, even when we ourselves indulge. If, say, you get off to oculolinctus (licking another’s eyeball(s), or having them lick yours) your reasons are unlikely to be listened to, let alone appreciated. Yet, I have heard people praise the alluring texture of the eye; speak with excitement of touching the ‘windows to the soul’ and extol the delicacy of the iris. It’s all rather beautiful. They are beautiful.
